TRCL Allalin at Technion-Haifa

Attolight AG, a global leader in advanced microscopy solutions, proudly announces the successful installation of its state-of-the-art Time-Resolved Cathodoluminescence (TRCL) Allalin platform at the prestigious Technion – Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa

[Ecublens, April 1,2025] – Attolight AG, a global leader in advanced microscopy solutions, proudly announces the successful installation of its state-of-the-art Time-Resolved Cathodoluminescence (TRCL) Allalin platform at the prestigious Technion – Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa.

This TRCL Allalin system represents the pinnacle of Attolight’s technological innovation. Attolight’s unique integrated in-column light collection system enables researchers to gain unprecedented insights into the optical and electronic properties of a wide range of materials. For the first time, this system incorporates a beam blanker and a laser-triggered electron gun, enabling a smooth transition for measuring carrier dynamics across time scales ranging from picoseconds to microseconds.

Technion, renowned for its commitment to scientific excellence and innovation, now joins a select group of institutions worldwide utilizing Attolight’s groundbreaking technology. We eagerly anticipate ongoing collaboration with the Technion to explore new application areas and consistently enhance our solution.

Key Features of the TRCL Allalin Platform at Technion:

UV-Visible & NIR collection lines, covering wavelengths from 200 to 1700 nm

Picosecond pulsed laser for studying ultrafast dynamic events

Beam blanker for extended TRCL experimentation

Streak camera for high-resolution TRCL detection

G(2) autocorrelation for single-photon emitter analysis

EBIC/EBAC for mapping current pathways through samples

Cryo-CL for enhanced luminescence and sharper spectral resolution

With its advanced capabilities, the TRCL Allalin platform will be instrumental in supporting a wide range of cutting-edge research at Technion, including semiconductors, nanotechnology, photonics, and quantum materials.

"This cutting-edge microscope is the cornerstone of the Helen Diller Quantum Center’s quantum microscopy lab at the Technion. By probing quantum phenomena at liquid helium temperatures and on nanometer and picosecond scales, it pushes the boundaries of observation and understanding. 'We envision that the ground breaking materials and devices emerging from this lab will shape and accelerate the next stage of the quantum revolution,' stated Prof. Yehonadav Bekenstein of Technion."

We sincerely thank the Technion for placing their trust in us, and we take great pride in our contribution to the advancement of material analysis capabilities within the Israeli research community.
